Salary: $50,000 per year for 44 hours per week

Qualifications:
– Ability to communicate in English orally and in writing is required
– Completion of secondary (high) school graduation is required
– 3 years to less than 5 years of work experience as a cook or a chef in a restaurant is required
– Work experience in a Japanese restaurant and/or knowledge on Japanese cuisines is an asset

Job Duties:
– Prepare, cook, and present a la carte dishes such as Grilled Miso flavor Black Cod, Simmered Beef Tongue, Deep-fried Soft Shell Crab with Ponzu Sauce, and Deep-fried Homemade Tofu in Broth;
– Prepare, cook, and present A4 Wagyu, Hida Gyu, and Donburi dishes;
– Prepare and present Sushi and Sashimi;
– Requisition food and kitchen supplies;
– Instruct and train staff in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food, as well as handling of food;
– Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances upon request;
– Plan and create new menus;
– Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
