Title of position: Plastic Products Production Labourer

Job duties:
Cuts and prepares cores for each job
Ensures shipping pallets are at press-side and are the correct type for each job
Assembles print cylinder gears; prepares cylinders
Retrieves print cylinders, job dockets and color standards for each job
Ensures air slits are prepared at machine side
Loads material on machine as required
Cleans diaper pan, removes adhesives, cleans equipment
Properly disposes of bag and roll scrap
Cycles winders and operate balers
Handles winder shafts, places fresh cores on shafts and aligns
Responds to basic line alarms
Assists in threading of lines
Does quality checks, records and identifies discrepancies
Cleans, reassembles, and maintains ink products for presses
Maintains supply of doctor blades, Mylar blades, and chamber end seals
Maintains a clean and tidy work area; performs general housekeeping duties
Assists in production support areas as required

Terms of employment: Full-time; day, evening, night, and weekend shifts; Generally shifts will be 12 hours long and may be scheduled any day of the week

Wage: $19.00/hour
