Job Details:
Location: Markham, ON
Salary: $46,800 per year for 44 hours per week

Qualifications:
Ability to communicate in English orally and in writing is required;
Completion of secondary (high) school graduation is required;
3 years to less than 5 years of work experience in commercial food preparation is required;
Work experience in a Japanese restaurant and/or knowledge on Japanese cuisines is an asset.

Job Duties:
– Prepare and cook food on a regular basis;
– Prepare and present Sushi and Sashimi dishes such as Omakase Sushi and Sashimi, Sushi Gozen, Sashimi Gozen, Sushi/Sashimi A La Carte, Negi Hama Roll, and Negi Toro Roll;
– Requisition food and kitchen supplies;
– Instruct and train staff in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food, as well as handling of food;
– Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances upon request;
– Plan and create new Sushi and Sashimi menus;
– Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff.
