Salary: $26.14 hourly for 44 hours per week

Qualifications:
– Ability to communicate in English orally and in writing is required;
– Completion of secondary (high) school graduation is required;
– 2 years to less than 3 years of work experience as a cook is required;
– Work experience in a Japanese restaurant and/or knowledge on Japanese cuisines is an asset.

Job Duties:

– Schedule staff in Hot Kitchen;
– Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, and order supplies and equipment;
– Clean and inspect kitchen and work areas;

– Prepare and cook meals in course menu and specialty foods (including “Hida Beef”);
– Prepare and cook complete A La Carte dishes and foods with minimal supervision;
– Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies;
– Train and supervise kitchen staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food including but not limited to food specialties listed above.
