Yarbis Design Studio Inc., located at 1508 – 426 University Ave, Toronto, Ontario, M5G 1S9 is seeking to hire an Interior Designer.
Skills Requirements:
– At least 2 years of experience in interior design
– knowledge of design principles and functional layout in modern and specifically minimalist styles.
– Ability to create functional, ergonomic layouts.
– Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (version 21), including creating custom Revit families.
– Experienced in Adobe Photoshop.
– Basic technical knowledge of construction processes in interior design, and the ability to create in Autodesk Revit detailed sections and nodes of the proposed interior solutions.
– Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
– Strong understanding of design principles, color theory, and materials.
– Excellent communication and project management skills.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Duties:
– Develop interior design concepts that combine functionality and style.
– Produce ergonomic layout solutions for various spaces.
– Visualize and prepare design projects for presentation.
– Create detailed drawings, plans, and 3D visualizations.
– Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
– Select materials, furniture, and decor to match design concepts.
– Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure project completion.
– Oversee the implementation of design projects, ensuring quality and adherence to design specifications.
– Provide guidance and feedback to junior designers and assistants.
Terms of Employment: Permanent position, with a workload of 30 hours per week at a min, paid at $30 per hour.
