Title of position: Building Maintenance Worker

Job duties:
– Perform preventative maintenance on guest rooms to operate and maintain the hotel in a safe and comfortable fashion
– Complete all minor repairs to HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
– Make arrangements and co-ordinate with tradespeople for all major repairs and projects that would require their expertise
– Provide general assistance to tradespeople when performing their maintenance on the building and property
– Conduct routine testing on all equipment within guest rooms, including smoke detectors, televisions, remote controls, air conditioning, telephones, cable lines, and telephone jacks
– Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and trim repair, and cleanup of any require minor painting projects
– Move furniture, equipment, and supplies through the building, as needed
– Wash windows, walls, and ceilings, and floors, and remove all dust, dirt, and debris from the building
– Perform seasonal labour, such as shovelling and deicing sidewalks, as well as cut grass and maintain flower beds, as necessary
– Manage inventory of supplies and equipment related to the performance of these duties

Terms of employment: Full-time; permanent; days, evenings, nights, and weekend shifts

Wage: $22.00/hour
