Position Title: Food Service Supervisors
Available Positions at EACH Location: Four (4)

Terms of Employment:
• Permanent position – Full-time,
• Morning, day, evening, nights, and weekends,
• Wage: $17.00 – $18.00/hour for 35 – 40 hours per week.

Job Descriptions / Main Duties:
• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food on a shift basis.
• Establish work schedules and methods to meet work schedules.
• Ensures compliance with heath and safety and other statutory regulations – to ensure that proper safety procedures are in place to protect staff and guest.
• Always ensure exceptional guest services – address customers’ concerns or complaints, trouble-shoot and resolve before they are escalated.
• Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Support the management team in maintaining and facilitating all aspects of operations in accordance with policies and procedures, for consistent company practices.
• Support management with daily decision making, scheduling, and planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness.
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage – support management team with inventory and purchasing; ensure that there is enough product on hand to complete daily production; order and monitor new stock; purchase special order supplies.
• Performs front line services duties as required.

Experience Requirements:
• Language – English is spoken in the workplace; candidates must have good English.
• Work experience – 1 year to less than 2 years of experience supervising or a combination of experience and relevant education.
• Education – Completion of secondary school, or a combination of relevant education and experience in the food service sector with relevant supervisory experience; or Completion of a community college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related discipline.
• Work Setting – Food service establishment – Coffee Shop.

Skills and Abilities:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational and management.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to supervise 10 – 20 people.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, this including bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting.
