Title of position: Painter

Positions available: 1 full-time / 2 part-time

Job duties:
– Clean and prepare surfaces for painting or staining
– Protect surfaces, like windows and floors, from paint and other coatings, by applying protective sheets and plastic barriers
– Repair and fill holes and cracks in walls, mouldings, and ceilings
– Apply paint and other materials, like enamel, lacquer, and varnish, using a variety of techniques and tools to achieve desired finish and texture
– Erect ladders and scaffolding, as required, to reach required heights for work
– Perform clean-up duties on worksite, as required

Terms of employment: Full-time or part-time; permanent positions; days and weekend shifts; approximately 30 to 40 hours of work each week for full-time employees, whereas part-time hours will vary

Education required: Completion of high school is required. Completion of apprenticeship program in residential/commercial painting may substitute for required work experience.

Work experience required: Minimum of 1 year of experience in commercial or residential painting is required for the position.

Language requirement: Fluent communication in English is required.

Skills requirement: Be able to lift 20 pounds comfortably. Ability to work at heights above 6 feet comfortably.
