Cashier

SOJ Holdings Inc. is looking for 2 Cashiers for our business located in Crescent Valley, BC.

The right candidate will perform the following duties:

• Scan merchandise to total sales value.
• Receive and process payment by cash, credit and debit cards.
• Follow procedures at the beginning of the shift to record starting cash available, calculate total payments received at the end of the shift and reconcile with total sales including cash and card payments.
• Verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol and tobacco products.
• Prepare sales report.
• Ensure the counter and surrounding areas are clean and organized.
• May stock shelves and receive merchandise.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Wages: $ 19.25hr. for 40 hrs. per week.

Education level: Completion of secondary school is an asset.

Required skills: On-the-job training will be provided to the right candidate, ability to communicate in English. Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings to accommodate the business hours which are from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday to Sunday.
