Framer Carpenters

Simarjit Jammu Renovations Inc., located in Vernon, BC, is a general contractor specializing in residential projects. Currently, we are looking to hire 2 Framer Carpenters.

The right candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of experience working on similar projects, the ability to communicate effectively in English, completion of secondary education would be preferred, and will perform the following duties:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches, and perform calculations of time and material.
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
• Lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install trim items like doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
• Knowledge of metal and wood framing.
• Work on residential and commercial projects.

Wages: $ 30.00/hr. for 40 hours per week
