Location: Toronto, ON
Salary: $36.00 hourly for 30 to 44 hours per week

Qualification:
– Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English is required;
– Completion of secondary (high) school is required;
– 2 year to less than 3 years of work experience as a hairstylist is required

Job duties:
– Manage day-to-day hair salon operations;
– Implement and improve policies, operational procedures and rules;
– Conduct recruiting activities and interviews to hire hairstylists, assistants and receptionists;
– Train assistants and receptionists in job duties, the hair salon policies, concept and operational procedures;
– Supervise and manage staff;
– Direct and motivate staff;
– Schedule staff;
– Respond to phone calls, emails and clients’ inquiries;
– Handle clients’ complaints such as addressing their concerns and resolving their problems;
– Control and manage bookings for each hairstylist;
– Maintain and manage inventory, and place orders for supplies and products on a weekly basis, together with the owner;
– Manage the cash register and payment system: opening and closing, handling payments, balancing cash, modifying and troubleshooting hardware and software;
– Prepare a daily sales report and keep the owner posted on a daily basis;
– Control and manage the tidying up and cleaning of the salon;
– Assist the owner in conducting marketing and advertising activities
