Job Description:

• Poultry hangers carefully removes the live poultry from the crates and places them upside down on moving shackles which begins the slaughter process.
• Ensures all animal welfare protocols are conducted
• Place empty bird crates into the machine for washing
• Load and ensure the full crates move on the conveyor belt
• Inspect birds from live end to evisceration
• Spray washes the facilities to ensure cleanliness
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Education: Not Required.
• Experience: Experience is an asset. Training will be provided on-site
• Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast Paced, Must be able to lift approximately 23Kgs or 50lbs, Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stretch, push and pull for a long period of time

• Work site environment: Indoors with normal temperature
• Personal suitability: Organized, Flexibility, Team player, Reliability.
• Weight handling: Up to 50lbs

– Function under repetitive movement of certain parts of the palms, fingers, wrist, hand, lower arm, upper arm, shoulder and back movements, while bending the top half part of the body over for prolonged periods of time.
– Remain drug and alcohol free to perform in a safety sensitive functional position.

Salary: $19.80 hourly, 40 – 45 Hours per week.
