Title of position: 1 Hairstylist
Terms of employment: Full-time, year-round work
Duties:
• Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair
• Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour
• Clean and style wigs and hair pieces
• Apply hair extensions
• Analyze hair and scalp condition and provide basic treatment or advice on beauty care treatments.
• Proficiency with latest salon techniques
• Proficiency with use of equipment needed to perform technical work.
• May shampoo and rinse hair
• May perform receptionist duties and order supplies
• May train hairstylist apprentices and helpers.
• Clean and style wigs and hair pieces
Wages: $ 18.00/hr for 40 hrs per week.
Work location: Abbotsford, BC
Language: Ability to communicate in English

Education level: • Completion of Secondary School.

Required skills: • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Hair Stylist is required. • Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends • May required standing for extended period of time. • Fluent in English • Ability to provide exceptional guest service, understanding the guest’s needs, providing quality consultations and performing service requested in an efficient and professional manner • Completion of hair design college or similar program is an asset • Experience working with all type of hair is an asset.
