BASIC FUNCTION: Electronic Assembly Supervisor will ensure the highest quality electronic parts are produced for RAD’s product line. They provide guidance and leadership of day-to-day tasks as based on the plans provided by the Electronics Assembly Manager. They will ensure the employees are trained to use the systems (ERP), tools and equipment in a safe and effective manner. They also constantly provide mentorship and support to Electronics Assemblers 1 to 3 with the intent on improving employee productivity, overall assembly output, product quality, and manufacturing efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• Minimum Education: completion of two-year engineering diploma in electrical/electronic or
• Addition manufacturing process certifications considered an asset Lean / ASQ / Six Sigma.
Experience:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Electronics manufacturing environment preferred
• Previous leadership experience considered an asset.
• Knowledge of computers (hardware) and programming (software, firmware)
• Experience with and knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems and how they operate together
• Experience with shift work an asset

DUTIES:

The successful candidate will perform, but not be limited to, the following
duties:
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of electronic assembly staff
• Ensure assigned tasks and duties in electronic assembly are completed in a timely manner.
• Conducts regular review of parts and process to mentor and train electronic assembly staff to RAD quality and production standards.
• Assists with implementing manufacturing best practises to reduce lead times, increase efficiencies, quality, and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance of MPI’s for all assemblies, through Electronics Assembler 3’s as needed.
• Works with managers and staff on the implementation of ERP, and manufacturing software.
• Identifies and recommends process and procedure improvements for the company, implementing through others as directed.
• Regularly reviews training of Electronics Assemblers 1 to 3 to ensure NWT maintains the standard that adheres to RAD’s quality program.
• Works with management to implement RAD’s core manufacturing strategies, plans, and procedures
• Ensure that all direct reports complete the duties as defined in their respective job descriptions.
• Ensure safety rules and regulations are followed
• Maintain stock on all core products to RAD’s quality standards. Develop and monitor the output of the Electronics assembly personnel and report to the Electronics Assembly Manager.
• Resolve work problems and recommend work measures to improve productivity
Additional Information:

• Must speak and read English expertly.
• Must hold a valid BC driver’s license.
• Must be open to working extended hours during peak service demands.
