Job Description

RCCG – Mt Zion, St. John’s is a multi-racial church located in the center of the City of St. John’s, NL, Canada that has been impacting the lives of residence of the St. John’s and neighboring cities and towns such as Mt Pearl, Gander, Grand Falls Windsor, CBS and Corner Brook positively for the past 7 years. Our mission is to spiritually encourage congregants to showcase the love of God through community engagement, counselling, support and care for the needy. We assist in restoring hope to the hopeless and helping individuals to be integrated in the fast-growing city of St. John’s. To discover their potential and raise leaders through our various community outreach programs, and by investing in the spiritual well-being of the growing population, one individual at a time, one day at a time. The Women and Children Minister is one of the Spiritual leaders of the congregation and works to support the Senior Pastor. The women and children minister is responsible for organizing women and children programs, reach out to women passing through some challenges, like single mothers, assisting in bringing their needs to the pastorate. The Minister helps the Senior Pastor in identifying areas where more education and enlightenments are needed for the women and children in fulfilling their spiritual obligations and meeting their day-to-day needs. This office is to liaise with the Canada Headquarter, North America and other missions of Redeemed Christian Church of God across the globe.

Job Duties:
• Report to the Senior Pastor for onward reporting to the overall women leader.
• Coordinate women and children in congregation in terms of activities, commitment, and adherence to RCCG doctrinal principles.
• Visit, counsel and offer support to women and children in challenging situations.
• Advocacy for women and children’s welfare and programs.
• Work with and assist other departments of the church as necessary in the achievement of the overall goals of the mission
• Liaise with community organizations for women empowerment and protection of children.
• Generate reports for Headquarter church on activities of women and children in Newfoundland and Labrador parish.
• Work in collaboration with other Redeemed Christian Church of God in Canada, North America and other parishes across the globe to ensure availability of doctrinal materials for women and children within the parish.
• Responsible for the budget and management of funds allocated for women and children’s programs annually
• Support the Senior Pastor in organizing communion service for parishioners as scheduled in the church program.
• Any other Spiritual job as directed by the Senior Pastor.

Skills (education, experience):
• 2 – 3 years of progressive administrative assistant experience with a minimum of 1 year as an Executive Assistant to a Senior Executive/Pastor.
• RCCG School of Disciple, Bible School, College or University program in business administration or any related field. Equivalent professional practice in the administrative field would also be considered.
• Ministry experience is also an asset – Salvation, Sanctification and Baptism in the Holy Spirit

Language of Work: English

Wage: $15/hour for 37.5 hours per week;
