Job Duties:
• Preparing and cooking food according to the menu while ensuring consistent food quality during service in a timely manner.
• Preparing, seasoning and cooking food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required.
• Following recipes and presentation specifications.
• Operating standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Organizing, cleaning, and maintaining kitchen and practicing good safety and sanitation, as per employee handbook.
• Adhering to the provincial and local sanitation storage and refrigeration requirements.
• Receiving & maintaining inventory and recording food, supplies and equipment.
• Training new kitchen staff, as needed.
• May assist in menu development.
• May assist in cost control and ordering of supplies.
• Performing any other related duties, as needed.

Wages: $ 19.00/hr. for 40 hrs/week + Tips

Qualifications:
• Completion of high school is required.
• Completion of college or other program in cooking OR a minimum of at least 2 years of commercial cooking experience is required.
• Food Handler Certificate & Food Safety Certificate OR the ability to acquire one before employment start date is required
• Must have a passion for food and feed off the buzz of a busy café
• Must be a team player and a great communicator.
• Must be physically and mentally fit.
• Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work on weekends and different restaurant shifts.
