Salary: $21.00 hourly for 30 to 44 hours per week

Qualification:
– Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English is required
– Completion of secondary (high) school is required
– 2 years to less than 3 years of previous retail sales experience as a retail salesperson or sales clerk, cashier is required

Job duties:
– Hire and train or arrange for training of staff, and assign staff to duties;
– Order and sell merchandise;
– Authorize payments by cheque and return of merchandise;
– Establish work schedules and schedule sales staff;
– Supervise and co-ordinate activities of sales staff and cashiers;
– Train staff in job duties, sanitation, safety procedures and product knowledge;
– Organize and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment for sales staff and cashiers;
– Resolve problems that arise, such as customer complaints and supply shortages when needed;
– Open and close the cash register, and balance cash and record sales;
– Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters
