Qualifications:
– Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English is required;
– Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience is required;
– 2 years to less than 3 years of work experience as a nail care technician or a manicurist is required;
– Experience and skills in Japanese style nail arts and techniques are an asset;
– Knowledge and experience of Japanese nail art tools and Japanese nail art ingredients is an asset.

Job duties:
– Suggest and determine nail art designs from clients’ instructions and/or preferences;
– Provide nail care treatments: clean, trim, shape and polish nails;
– Provide nail extensions (acrylic sculpture);
– Apply base and colours on nails using shellac;
– Apply gel on nails;
– Apply and provide nail arts by airbrushing tool, nail stones and gems, and hand painting;
– Create 3D nail arts using Japanese nail art tools and apply on nails;
– Advise clients on nail care treatments and sell Japanese nail care products;
– Schedule and confirm appointments;
– Perform receptionist/cashier duties;
– Train newly hired technicians in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures;
– Supervise assistants, students or interns, staff or volunteers;
– Monitor inventory of supplies, ingredients, tools and equipment, and order them when needed.
