A Kitchener family is seeing an in-home childcare provider for 2 boys, ages 16 & 17. The position requires coordination with the parents to plan and coordinate meal preparation, organize transportation and assistance with school work and online e-learning for high school.

The candidate must be able to communicate in English in verbal communication, reading and writing.

Duties include supervision of the children, tend to general needs, meal preparation, ensure safety during on-line e-learning, supervise homework, transport children to medical appointments and activities and maintain a safe home environment in the absence of the parents.

The candidate must have their own transportation as there is no public transit available.

The position includes 2 weeks of paid holidays per year, 9 statutory holidays In Ontario and WSIB coverage, 2 days of paid personal leave, free meals during work hours and all meals if caregiver chooses to live in the home. Living in the home is an option at no charge, not mandatory for employment.

Every effort will be made to accommodate the successful candidate.
Work hours are 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday with some flexibility required. Occasional weekends may be needed.

Qualifications include 7 to 12 months of childcare or related experience, first aid, high school diploma. CPR training is an asset.

Criminal reference check with vulnerable sector screening, safe driver check and one work reference.

Please note that only the caregiver may live in the accommodations in the home. Free meals only apply to the caregiver.
