Seeking a caregiver for my spouse who has a chronic illness and requires assistance with some activities of daily living. The position includes assistance with housekeeping, meal preparation and laundry/ironing. Assistance with shopping and management of the home is required. The caregiver will need to provide reminders for taking medication. Caregiver may be needed to arrange/accompany client to medical appointments.

Work hours will generally be 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday. Flexibility is required. Weekends may be required occasionally. This is a 2 year contract. The candidate must be able to read, write and speak English.

Wages are $17.50 per hour for 40 hours. Benefits include 2 paid personal days, WSIB coverage and free meals during work hours. If employee chooses to live in the home, all meals are free. Accommodation is free of charge, not mandatory for the position.
The position includes 10 days of holidays, 9 statutory holidays in Ontario.
First aid is required. CPR is an asset. Employee requires their own vehicle/transportation as public transportation is not available.
Criminal reference check with vulnerable sector screening is required. High school diploma is the minimum education. 7-12 months of caregiver experience or related equivalent experience.
