Job Description:

Cladco is a single source supplier of architectural cladding systems throughout Canada and the USA. We have completed thousands of projects. We design, manufacture, and install exterior siding (cladding) on commercial, government, and institutional buildings. We buy cladding panels, prepare architectural and design drawings for clients, and then cut and install the panels and supporting superstructure.

We hope to grow our design and drafting department. We require architectural technologists to prepare architectural drawings, specifications, and contracts.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Prepare manual and computer-assisted design (CAD) drawings, specifications, cost estimates and listings of quantities of material from conceptual drawings and instructions
• Prepare contract and bidding documents
• Provide cost estimate for sales department when preparing contracts
• Coordinate with purchasing for up to date pricing
• Assist in the development of architectural designs
• Construct architectural and display models, and 3-D virtual models of architectural designs
• Analyze building codes, by-laws, space requirements, site requirements and other technical documents and reports
• May supervise construction projects and coordinate, monitor and inspect work done by other

Skills and Experience:

Required:

• University degree in architecture
• Three years experience using Computer-Aided Design (AutoCAD) programs
• Three years experience as an architectural technologist

Desired:

• Three years experience with paneling rainscreen systems
o Plate, Phenolic, Fiber Cement, Steel cladding, Aluminum cladding
• Three years experience with comparable site conditions
• Three years experience with proprietary system detailing

Knowledge, and Competency Requirements:

• Knowledge/competency of current façade standards
