The Castella Cheesecake brand is a Japanese-style pastry bakery established in 2018 to bring the bona fide taste of light Japanese desserts to Canada. Castella opened its first branch on Robson Street in the heat of downtown Vancouver shopping district and has since propelled a further five branches throughout Vancouver, Burnaby and Richmond. We additionally have a central bakery establishment supplying fresh bakery items daily, working effectively to provide the freshest baked goods to our most valuable fans.
Job Description
• Plan, direct, and evaluate retail sales operations.
• Manage staff and assign workers to duties and prepare work schedules, and ensure adequate staffing levels during peak hours
• Maintain inventory of pastry.
• Ordering merchandise and signing for deliveries.
• Analyze market research and trends to assess consumer demand for pastries, forecast potential sales volumes, and evaluate the impact of competitor activities on sales.
• Create and execute marketing strategies.
• Plan budgets, approve spending, and track revenue performance.
• Address and resolve any issues that arise, including handling customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages, as well as escalated concerns.
• Oversee the hiring and training of new staff, or coordinate training arrangements, while monitoring and reporting on their performance.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Completion of high school
• Previous related work experience for 2-3 years
• Well communication skills
• Ability to handle pressure
• Attention to detail
• Decision-making skills
