Qualifications:
– Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English is required;
– Completion of secondary (high) school is required;
– 2 years to less than 3 years of commercial baking experience or completion of a three- or four-year apprenticeship program for bakers or completion of a college or other program for bakers is required.
Job duties:
– Bake and prepare cakes such as Peach Earl Grey, Kyoto Matcha Yuzu, Strawberry Short Cake, Chocolate Hazelnt Cake and Jasmine Darjeeling Mousse Cake;
– Prepare dough for cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders;
– Operate machinery;
– Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies;
– Bake mixed dough and batters;
– Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food;
– Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods;
– Draw up production schedules;
– Ensure products meet the quality standards of Bloom.
