Front Desk Supervisor
Blackcomb Lodge Ltd. located at 4220 Gateway Dr, Whistler, BC – V8E 0Z7 is looking a Front Desk Supervisor. The right candidate must share our commitment to providing the highest quality of service to our guests to ensure a pleasant and memorable experience. This is a permanent full – time position.
• Ensures Outstanding customer care at all times.
• Supervises daily shift process ensuring all team members adhere to standard operating procedures and are friendly and attentive to guest needs and service.
• Trains and directs the workflow and processes of the front desk.
• Resolves issues/problems and coaches front desk team members.
• Ensures phone calls, wake up calls and messages for guests are handled in a prompt, efficient and professional manner.
• Cross checks all billing instructions are correctly updated
• Handles bus group arrivals and corporate market segment groups and pre-registers each guest and ensures payment is made in full for the group or that billing is correct.
• Controls cash transactions at the front desk
• Ensures Front desk log book and hotel log book is always updated and acted upon.
• Prepares hotel front desk work schedules
• Ensures front desk supplies are stocked and computer equipment functioning properly.
• Oversees the business center and ensures the area is clean and guest ready at all times.
Required languages: English
Education level: Completion of Secondary School.
Required skills: • Completion of Secondary School • A minimum of one year of experience as a front desk clerk, education related to the position would be considered an asset. • Excellent communication skills • Excellent customer service skills
