Job Description

Blackcomb Lodge Ltd. located at 4220 Gateway Dr, Whistler, BC – V8E 0Z7 is looking for a Front Desk Supervisor.

The right candidate must share our commitment to providing the highest quality of service to our guests to ensure a pleasant and memorable experience.

This is a permanent, full–time position.

Job Duties:
• Ensures outstanding customer care at all times.
• Supervises daily shift process ensuring all team members adhere to our operating procedures and are friendly and attentive to our guests’ needs and service.
• Trains and directs the workflow and processes of the front desk.
• Resolves issues/problems and coaches the front desk team members.
• Ensures phone calls, wake-up calls, and messages for guests are handled in a prompt, efficient and professional manner.
• Crosschecks all billing to ensure accuracy.
• Handles group arrivals and pre-registers each guest ensuring accurate information and billing.
• Controls cash transactions at the front desk
• Ensures Front desk log books are updated.
• Prepares hotel front desk clerks’ work schedules.
• Ensures front desk supplies are stocked and computer equipment is functioning properly.
• Oversees the business center and ensures the area is clean and guest-ready at all times.

Required skills:  A minimum of one year of experience as a front desk clerk or completion of a program in hospitality or a related field is required.  Ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff.  Must possess excellent customer service skills with an emphasis on ensuring an overall positive guests experience during their stay at the lodge.
