Full-time position: 40 hours/week
Wage: 28.35$/hour
Vacation: 10 days of paid vacation per year

Duties / Responsibilities:
Represent the company in dealings related to the import of Italian food products.
Leverage strong interpersonal skills and Italian language proficiency to maintain communication with Italian suppliers to ensure a smooth supply chain and product availability.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure client satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling products.
Research and identify potential clients within the Canadian market.
Initiate contact and build relationships with new clients through cold calls, emails, networking events, and trade shows.
Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations on the benefits and uses of authentic Italian food products to clients.
Customize presentations to address the specific needs and interests of different clients.
Provide accurate and competitive price estimates, credit terms, and delivery dates to clients.
Negotiate contract terms and ensure mutual agreement between the company and clients.
Draft, review, and manage sales contracts, ensuring all terms are clearly defined and agreed upon.
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure the timely preparation and delivery of contracts and related documentation.
Act as a primary point of contact for clients after the sale, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
Provide ongoing support and maintain open communication to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business.
Continuously update knowledge on product innovations, competitors, and market trends.
Assist senior management in developing sales strategies and tactics based on market conditions and competitor activities.
Assist senior management in developing and coordinating team efforts to ensure a cohesive and effective sales strategy.

Education level: Completion of Secondary School

Required skills: 2+ years experience in sales and/or sales account management in a similar industry. Proficiency in Italian and English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with Italian-speaking and English-speaking suppliers and clients in Italy and Canada.Knowledge of the Italian food product market and the ability to articulate the benefits and uses of various products.Strong sales and negotiation skills with a proven track record in a similar role. Excellent presentation and communication abilities. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be passionate about delivering an exceptional customer experience. Ability to manage multiple clients and tasks simultaneously.

Additional skills / Assets Familiarity with European Union regulations and certifications (such as IGP, DOP, and STG) for specialty products is an asset.
